Tobacco Control Cell Punjab, Health & Population Department organized an awareness seminar in connection with World No-Tobacco Day 2024 at Institute of Public Health (IPH) Lahore.

Honourable Minister Health & Population Department Khawaja Imran Nazir and Honourable Minister Specialized Healthcare & Medical Education Department Khawaja Salman Rafique graced the event with their kind presence. Parliamentarians Amna Hassan Sheikh and Qasim Nadeem also attended the session.

Additional Secretary Vertical Programs, DG Health Services Punjab Dr. Muhammad Ilyas Gondal, PD IRMNCH Dr. Khalil, PD PACP Dr. Sofia, Director CDC Dr. Yadullah, Dean IPH Prof. Dr. Zarfishan Tahir and other dignitaries were also present.

Leading Pulmonologist Prof. Dr. Irfan Malik, Head of Office WHO Sub Office Punjab, Dr. Jamsaid Ahmed and Prof. Dr. Zarfishan were the guest speakers.

The purpose of this seminar was to raise awareness about the health hazards of use of tobacco, its novel products and their dreadful effects.
